Do's and Dont's for Tuff Watches
At Tuff Watches, we rigorously test our products to ensure durability in diverse conditions.
Do's:
- Ensure the watch is charged using the original accessories.
- Take and receive calls.
Do Not:
- Swim or expose the watch to saltwater or chlorine pools, as the IP68 waterproof feature is designed for freshwater resistance only (e.g., washing it with water if it’s dirty, walking in the rain, cold showers/ice baths, etc.).
- Use the watch in high-temperature environments with steam. While Tuff Watches are heat-resistant to a degree, steam can enter and compromise the processing chip. Avoid hot water baths, showers, and steam rooms. Saunas may be okay for limited amounts of time.
- Disassemble the device yourself.
Best Practice Use and Care for Tuff
Avoid Extreme Temperatures - Operate your Tuff Watch within the optimal temperature range of 0 - 45℃. While brief visits to saunas are acceptable, steamy environments like steam rooms are not recommended.
Water Care - Tuff Watches boast an IP68 waterproof rating, allowing resistance up to 1.5m depths for 30 seconds to a minute. However, refrain from swimming or engaging in deep/high-pressure water activities. Steam can potentially damage the internal processor, so avoid hot, steamy showers.
Safe Usage - Keep your watch away from regulated electronic product areas, such as petrol stations.
Battery Care:
- Maintain your battery between 20-80% for optimal longevity.
- Avoid letting the battery drain completely.
- Overcharging can expedite battery degradation, so be mindful not to overcharge your Tuff Watch.
Cleaning Your Watch - Ensure your Tuff Watch stays in top-notch condition by wiping it down with a slightly damp microfibre towel. This practice helps prevent dirt and grime buildup, ensuring optimal functionality.
